As we promised last week, a preview of Hyena v10.0 is now available for evaluation. To get an early look at Hyena v10.0, featuring the Active Editor and integrated importing capabilities, visit:
http://www.systemtools.com/hyena/hyena10.html
Hyena v10.0 is expected to be released in June. It will be a free upgrade for any purchasers of Hyena v9.2 or with active maintenance.
Please note that the maintenance expiration cutoff window for the Hyena v10.0 evaluation is June 1, 2013. If your license maintenance expiration date is after this date, the easiest way to evaluate this version is to install Hyena on a different computer, thereby forcing a new 30-day evaluation. This does not violate any licensing terms, and will give you the opportunity to try the new features and decide if an upgrade or maintenance renewal is warranted.
Also remember that this is pre-release software, so when using the Active Editor for the first time, always use on non-essential information first.
We've updated the help file in Hyena. The What's New section in the help file gives a summary of the changes, with a link to the Active Editor help topics. As always, we both encourage and appreciate feedback; if you have any problems or additional "what about..." ideas for the Active Editor or Hyena in general, please send them to support@systemtools.com.
Finally, a reminder that with the release of Hyena v10.0 in June, prices will be increasing. This is one of the reasons that we are allowing customers to see the new functionality first.
Again, we at SystemTools want to thank everyone for their support.
