Free Utilities & DumpSec

SomarSoft has granted SystemTools.com distribution rights for SomarSoft's DumpSec (formerly known as DumpAcl), DumpReg, and DumpEvt programs. As last released by SomarSoft, these utilities are now offered as FREE utilities for reporting of security, directory, registry, and event information under Windows NT/200x.

DumpSec v2.8.7

SomarSoft's DumpSec is a security auditing program for Microsoft Windows® NT/XP/200x. It dumps the permissions (DACLs) and audit settings (SACLs) for the file system, registry, printers and shares in a concise, readable format, so that holes in system security are readily apparent. DumpSec also dumps user, group and replication information.

Hyena - Hyena has an easy-to-use visual Explorer-style interface for all operations, including right mouse click pop-up context menus for all objects. Management of users, groups (both local and global), shares, domains, computers, services, devices, events, files, printers and print jobs, sessions, open files, disk space, user rights, messaging, exporting, job scheduling, printing, and more are all supported. Hyena also features extensive Active Directory, Exchange, and WMI support as well. DumpEvt v1.7.6

Updated ! SomarSoft's DumpEvt is a Windows NT/200x program to dump the event log in a format suitable for importing into a database. Similar to the DUMPEL utility in the Microsoft Windows Resource Kit, but without some of the limitations. DumpEvt has been updated to now allow dumping the new Windows 200x event logs (DNS, File Replication, and Directory Service) 

DumpReg

SomarSoft's DumpReg is a program for Windows that dumps the registry, making it easy to find keys and values containing a string. The registry entries can be sorted by reverse order of last modified time, making it easy to see changes made by recently installed software, for example.

SystemTools TScmd

Developed by SystemTools.  A command-line utility to set terminal server user settings.  All eighteen (18) terminal server settings can be set.  Includes documentation in readme.txt file.

SystemTools Remote Control Manager (STRCM)

The SystemTools Remote Control Manager (STRCM) provides a mechanism for installation, configuration, access, and uninstallation of remote control software products. The STRCM can be used either as a standalone application or integrated into Hyena v4.3 and later versions. Full source code is also provided, under GNU licensing.

Configuration of the STRCM options is made through a standard .INI file. The STRCM uses this configuration information to determine remote control viewing, installation, and other options. Although the STRCM was primarily designed for automatic installation and management of VNC-based remote control products, its flexible design allows the use of many other remote control products.
